They'll post about their vacations or what their kids are doing, but a study finds people who use Facebook and Twitter are less likely than others to share their opinions on controversial issues. The survey by the Pew Research Center and Rutgers University was conducted shortly after Edward Snowden acknowledged1 leaking classified intelligence. The study suggesting social media may actually encourage self censorship.
