NASA astronaut Scott Kelly is in the final stages of getting ready to spend a year aboard the International Space Station.

“Oh I'm feeling great.

I think my fellow crew members are feeling great as well, and we're excited to be here, finishing up our U.S. training.”

Kelly soon departs¹ for Russia, where in March he and cosmonaut Mikhail Korniyenko will blast² off for their year in orbit³.

Kelly says he's got everything together.No need for a last meal.

“So, for me, most of it's surrounding logistics, like preparing my house and my family, and things like that, for me to be gone for over a year.”
