　　与朋友对话，若心中灵机一动，蹦出个主意，则可使用本句，以引起对方的注意。

　　A：Are you sure you can’t lend² me five thousand dollars?

　　甲：你确定无法借我 5 000 元吗?

　　B：Hmm...I’ll tell you what.I’ll lend you four thousand dollars，but you have to pay³ me back next week.

　　乙：嗯……我告诉你吧。 我将借你4 000 元，但你必须下周还我。

　　A：It’s a deal⁴.

　　甲：一言为定。

　　常有人将 lend 与 borrow⁵ 二词用法弄混了，在此特别说明。lend 指“借出”，基本句型为“lend +人 +物”或“lend +物 +to +人”，表示“将某物借给某人”;而 borrow 指“借入”，基本句型为“borrow +物 +from +人”，表示“向某人借来某物”。

　　I lent⁶ a book to John. (我借给约翰一本书。)

　　I borrowed⁷ a pen from Peter.

　　(我向彼得借来一只笔。)
