　　Is then the dreadful measure of your cruelty not yet complete? 对你的残忍程度那可怕的衡量还没有完吗？

　　Battle! against whom? 去战斗吧！跟谁作战呢？

　　Against a king, in whose mild bosom² your atrocious injuries, even yet, have not excited hate; but who, insulted or victorious³, still sues for peace. 跟国王啊，你那残忍的刑讯还没有激起仇恨，可是那些受到伤害或者侥幸逃脱的人们，还在祈求安宁。

1 dissuading   

劝（某人）勿做某事，劝阻( dissuade的现在分词 )

2 bosom

5 implore   

vt.乞求，恳求，哀求

6 foul   

adj.污秽的；邪恶的；v.弄脏；妨害；犯规；n.犯规

7 avarice   

n.贪婪；贪心

把…强加给，使承受，遭受( inflict的过去式和过去分词 )
