A little that a righteous man hath Is better than the riches of many wicked; 尽管正直的人所有甚少要好过许多邪恶的富人;
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, But the Lord upholdeth the righteous. 邪恶之人的武器必将折断,但是上帝维护正义。

The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again; But the righteous sheweth mercy and giveth. 邪恶之人借贷,从不偿还;正直的人以德报怨,还复给予。
For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth. 得到上帝赐福的,必将继承土地的饶富。
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And he delighteth in his way; 好人的脚步又上帝来定,他高高兴兴走自己的路;
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly1 cast down; For the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. 虽然他跌倒了,但不会完全倒下;因为上帝用手将他托住。
I have been young, and now am old, Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken2, Nor his seed begging bread. 我也曾年轻,现在老去了,从未见过正直的人被弃之不顾,他的后人也不会乞食。
