 A little that a righteous man hath Is better than the riches of many wicked; 尽管正直的人所有甚少要好过许多邪恶的富人;

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, But the Lord upholdeth the righteous. 邪恶之人的武器必将折断,但是上帝维护正义。
The Lord knoweth the days of the upright, And their inheritance shall be forever; 上帝晓得正直人过的日子,他们继承来的产业永远牢固;
They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. 他们不必为危难时蒙羞,就是在饥馑的日子,他们也能得到满足。
But the wicked shall perish, And the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs; 邪恶之人终将灭亡,上帝的敌人不过是羔羊的油脂;
They shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. 他们会被吃掉,或者化为灰烟。
The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again; But the righteous sheweth mercy and giveth. 邪恶之人借贷,从不偿还;正直的人以德报怨,还复给予。
For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth. 得到上帝赐福的,必将继承土地的饶富。
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And he delighteth in his way; 好人的脚步又上帝来定,他高高兴兴走自己的路;
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly1 cast down; For the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. 虽然他跌倒了,但不会完全倒下;因为上帝用手将他托住。
I have been young, and now am old, Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken2, Nor his seed begging bread. 我也曾年轻,现在老去了,从未见过正直的人被弃之不顾,他的后人也不会乞食。
