Meet the captain, seven-year-old Bryson Jenkins. He's the one in the middle. See the joy in his face and when he looks around and sees everyone cheering at him. Bryson developed cerebral¹ palsy following a stroke at birth. He is nonverbal and just began to walk with assistance last year. But when suburban² Chicago's Grant jr. Bulldogs offered him an honorary spot on the squad³. No words were necessary.

It was so great to see they just treat him with such kindness. After kissing the ball for good luck. And helping⁴ with the coin toss, number 85 Bryce Jenkins, with his name emblazoned on the back of his red jersey⁵, made his way to the endzone for the final touchdown.
