Be creative, any way you want to be.

Look for something everyone has created and try to think outside of the box — the box of clothes, I mean.

Be adventurous¹ like Lady Gaga, but do it your own way.

You take the clothes they have and cut them up and make them into other types of clothes.

Get a dress. See what you can make with it. And then add accessories to make it look like your unique style.

Try not shopping at the place where all the girls shop. You do not want to look like every other girl in your class.

Do not go with the trends. Wear what looks good on you, not because other people are wearing it.

It doesn't matter what you wear. Just choose something you like. Get your fashion inspiration from your heart.

Go to, like, secondhand stores, Goodwill², and find the thing that makes you say, "Whoa!I've never seen anybody like that, and I like that."

I would look at the magazines. I would look at television. But then I would go to the thrift³ stores and put my own version together.

You know, a good way to develop your own fashion style is literally⁴ go to a bunch of stores, see what you like, and just make it your own. Don't think about what anybody else thinks.

形成自已时尚风格的好方法是去四处逛商场，看看自已喜欢什么，然后创造自已的服装风格。不要考虑其他人的想法。

I think any unique fashion style sort of starts with what's in trend. So try to find staple⁵ pieces and then add little things here and there to make it your own.

1 adventurous
