 　　Wilbur didn't know what to do or which way to run.

　　威尔伯不知道怎么办才好，也不知道该朝哪里跑。

　　It seemed as though everybody was after him.

　　看着个个都像在追它。

　　"If this is what it's like to be free," he thought,

　　“如果这就是所谓的自由，”它心里说，

　　"I believe I'd rather be penned up in my own yard."

　　“我想，我情愿被关在自己的猪栏里。”

　　The cocker spaniel was sneaking up on him from one side,

　　那条小猎狗从一边悄悄地靠近威尔伯。

　　Lurvy the hired man was sneaking up on him from the other side.

　　雇工勒维从另一边悄悄地靠近威尔伯。

　　Mrs. Zuckerman stood ready to head him off if he started for the garden,

　　朱克曼太太站在那里做好准备，万一威尔伯朝花园跑就拦住它。

　　and now Mr. Zuckerman was coming down toward him carrying a pail.

　　朱克曼先生提着一桶东西朝威尔伯走过来。

　　"This is really awful," thought Wilbur.

　　“太可怕了，”威尔伯心里说，

　　"Why doesn't Fern come?" He began to cry.

　　“弗恩为什么还不来啊？”它开始哭了。
