大学城

When we say that Cambridge is a university town

当我们谈到剑桥是座大学城时，

we do not mean that it is a town with university in it.

A university town is one where there is no clear separation¹

between the university buildings and the rest of the city.

The university is not just one part of the town;it is all over the town.

4 lodging   

n.寄宿，住所；(大学生的)校外宿舍

参考例句：

• The bill is inclusive of the food and lodging. 账单包括吃、住费用。
• Where can you find lodging for the night? 你今晚在哪里借宿?

5 cheaply   

adv.廉价地；粗俗地

参考例句：

• Old bikes can be bought quite cheaply.旧自行车很便宜就能买到。
• This apartment rents cheaply.这套公寓租价便宜。

6 lodgings   

n. 出租的房舍, 寄宿舍

参考例句：

• When he reached his lodgings the sun had set. 他到达公寓房间时，太阳已下山了。
• I'm on the hunt for lodgings. 我正在寻找住所。

7 lectures   

演讲，讲课( lecture的名词复数 )； 冗长的训斥[谴责]

参考例句：

• Attendance at these lectures is not compulsory. 这些课不是硬性规定要听的。
• Lectures will be interspersed with practical demonstrations. 讲课中将不时插入实际示范。
