Dialogue1 A:So what are your ideas about the distribution of stuff for the ShangHai office of our joint¹ venture project?

B:Since most our workers will be local highers,i think it's really important to have at least a couple of our team heads relocated from Germany.also we'll need our whole German design team to be a part of the new office.

A:I agree that we have to have both Chinese and German leaders working in the company.But i think that it is unnecessary expense to bring the whole design team over.

B:It doesn't matter what the cost is,the design team is intergroup to what we're doing,if we don't get 100% of our design people there,then the deal is off.

A:MR Smith,i understand that the design team is an extremely important part of our operation.i agree that we have to take the contributions into consideration.when we're considering the constitution of the ShangHari office,however,i wonder if you have the same information i have about the local stuff?

B:What kind of information are you talking about?

A:I dont know if you are aware,that the current design team is made up of six designers.Three of whom were educated in German Design schools,and two of whom were educated in Sweden,certainly ,they will be able to offer significant contribution in design.

B:Oh,i had realized that.

A:Also it's important to consider the cost bring in expatriate at workers.It's significantly higher.i can get my secretary to send you some numbers on that if you are interested .

B:Yes,please do

Dialogue 2 A:Mr Zhang ,i'm glad to get hold of you ,i want to talk about something that has come upon a deal.it seems we have a snack on the landuse portion of the investment project.

B:I thought we had discussed the landuse issue before ,what kind of problem do you say?

A:When we discussed the landuse policy as part of our contract before,i hadn't notice the contingency² clauses,when we run the contract past our legal team,and it's definitely no goal with those clauses in there.

B:Well,that's too bad,i'm sorry we can't take the clauses out.so if you don't agree to them,then i'm afraid our deal is off.

A:You can't be serious,after all the time we've already invested into the project,i really hope we can work something out,i wonder if you realize that why our legal team objects to the clauses.

B:Why?

A:Well, there are concerned with some of the wording,maybe our two legal team could get together,and try to find the wording that would accomplish what you want,but what not restrict us in the way current wording does.

B:So it's just simple matter of wording .

A:Yes,i think that we can invest in a little more time into ironing out of the problem.dont you?

B:Yes i suppose so.
