 　　These were big but really fast hunters. They were as bad as it got for a while.

　　Albertosaurus would have been a very fearsome predator¹.

　　It comes with the basic tyrant² dinosaur³ package.

　　But Albertosaurus preceded its cousin by almost ten million years.

　　Albertosaurus is a more primitive⁹ Tyrannosaurus, so that for a scientist, we can actually distinguish them without any trouble what so ever.

　　But to a person just looking at the animal from the outside, you are really gonna be able to tell them apart other than by size.

　　I mean, a Tyrannosaurus Rex can be up to 40 to 45 feet long and Albertosaurus is generally, say, about 30 to 35 feet long.

　　Nevertheless, if you had a Albertosaurus chasing you, I'm not sure you would care that it was not Tyrannosaurus Rex.

　　Albertosaurus was nearly ten meters long, four meters tall at the hips¹⁰, and weighed as much as three tons.

　　But he wasn't only big, this dangerous dinosaur was fast, a good tracker, and clever enough to execute basic strategy.

　　When we look at an animal like Albertosaurus, we can see really a sensory¹² machine - a whole series of brain and ear structures that allowed it to see well, had a very heightened sense of smell, and a really good sense of hearing.

　　Albertosaurus's weapons are all up front. It's the head and it's those teeth.
