CCTV9英语新闻：Myanmar president's cabinet includes Suu Kyi

Myanmar's President-elect Htin Kyaw has proposed appointing 18 ministers to his Cabinet, including his party leader Aung San Suu Kyi. 

 

Suu Kyi's name was on top of the list announced by Myanmar's Upper House Speaker who presided over Tuesday's joint session. The list only contains the names, and their ministries will be decided later. 

 

The parliament set Thursday to continue the nomination process for respective ministries if there is no objection from the MPs for the nominees by Wednesday afternoon. Suu Kyi's National League for Democracy party came to power after a historic landslide victory in last year's general election, and will form the first government to be elected democratically.
