The White House has been accused of trying to cover up details of a phone call between Donald Trump¹ and the Ukrainian president that sparked a so-called landmark² impeachment³ inquiry⁴. A declassified⁵ version of a whistle blower complaint, released by US officials, reveals the transcript⁶ of the phone call was not stored in the usual computer system. As the scandal continues to unfold, the New York Times is now reporting that Donald Trump has said whoever provided the information is in his view 'close to a spy.' Talking to the media this morning, Mr Trump once again denied any wrong doing.
