As the daughter of a musician father, our Australian girl Lenka was born to be a great singer. She was known for her song "The Show," (produced by Stuart Brawley), from her self-titled album 《Lenka》. Her song "Everything at Once" was even used in the official Windows 8 TV Ad. And that's what we have here today. 1.sly:cunning,狡诈的；诡诈的；诡秘的
As sly as a fox：像狐狸一样狡猾；He glanced at her slyly.他朝她诡秘地一笑。
on the sly:秘密地；偷偷地
He has to visit them on the sly.他只得偷偷地去看望他们。

2. as...as...:像…一样
as strong as an ox.像牛一样强壮；He was as white as a sheet.他面无血色。
as from/as of: 自……起
Our fax number is changing as from May 12.我们的传真号码自五月十二号起更改。

3.neat:极好的；纯的；不掺水的
as neat as a word:像文字一样优美；We had a great time—it was pretty neat.我们玩得很痛快，棒极了；
The weed-killer was applied⁴ to the lawn neat.除草剂未经稀释就喷到草坪上了。

4.mean：不善良；刻薄；熟练的
As mean as a wolf：像狼一样凶恶；He's a mean tennis player.他是位出色的网球选手。
mean (v) well:出于好心
He meant well.他是出于好心。
be no mean...：了不起；出色
His mother was a painter, and he's no mean artist himself.他的母亲是位画家，他本人也是位很出色的艺术家。
a mean （n）between A and B:中间；中庸；
He needed to find a mean between frankness and rudeness.他需要在坦诚与唐突之间找到折中的方法。

5.right(adj):正确的；
as right as a wrong:像错事一样正确（或对或错）；You're not holding it the right way up.你把它拿倒了。
give your right arm for sth / to do sth: 为……情愿放弃；不惜任何代价

right(n):put/set sb/sth to rights，纠正；改正

6.fixture:(房屋等的）固定装置；固定成员

7.nails：铁钉；

8.buzz:发出嗡嗡声；

1 toad   

n.蟾蜍，癞蛤蟆
