And that its last-known position was over Ukraine. It's a Boeing 777.

An adviser¹ to Ukraine's Interior Minister says 295 people were on board. With Russia's Interfax news agency quoting an aviation source as saying the plane was shot down by a ground-to-air missile. Interfax also quoting a Ukrainian government source suggesting that missile was fired by pro-Russian separatists.
