I regained⁴ my couch, but never thought of sleep.

Till morning dawned I was tossed on a buoyant but unquiet sea,

where billows of trouble rolled under surges of joy.

1 fable

2 standing

3 expedient

4 regained

6 triumphantly

7 counteracting   

对抗，抵消( counteract的现在分词 )

参考例句：

• But he notes that there are counteracting forces as well. 但是他也指出还有一些抵消因素。

8 delirium   

n. 神智昏迷,说胡话;极度兴奋
