 　　You want some breakfast, too? 你也想吃点早餐吗？

　　And down she sets her bowl on the brick floor brown, 她把碗在褐色的砖地上放下，

　　And little dog Rags drinks up her milk, 小狗“抹布”喝光了她的牛奶，

　　While she strokes his shaggy locks, like silk: 她抓他蓬松的毛毛，像柔软的绸带，

　　"Dear Rags!" says little Gustava. “亲爱的抹布！”小古斯塔瓦语调轻快。

　　Waiting without stood sparrow and crow, 没人等待站着的麻雀和乌鸦，

　　Cooling their feet in the melting snow. 它们在融化的雪里凉着脚丫。

　　"Won't you come in, good folk?" she cried, “你们不进来吗，善良的居民？”她呼唤，

　　But they were too bashful, and staid outside, 可是它们太害羞，宁愿留在外面，

　　"Though "Pray come in!" cried Gustava. “请进来吧！”古斯塔瓦还是大声喊。

　　So the last she threw them, and knelt on the mat, 最后她把所有食物都往外抛，

　　With doves, and biddy, and dog, and cat. 跪在垫子上陪着鸽子、小鸡、小狗和小猫，

　　And her mother came to the open house door: 打开屋门出来了她的妈妈，

　　Dear little daughter, I bring you some more, 亲爱的小女儿，我再给你添一些吧，

　　My merry little Gustava. 我快乐的小古斯塔瓦。

　　Kitty and terrier, biddy and doves, 母鸡和鸽子，小狗和猫崽，

　　All things harmless Gustava loves, 一切无害的动物古斯塔瓦都喜爱，

　　The shy, kind creatures It is joy to feed, 喂养害羞、善良的生物真是赏心乐事，

　　And, oh! her breakfast is sweet indeed 还有，噢，她的早餐确实太好吃，

　　To happy little Gustava! 向快乐的小古斯塔瓦致意！
