　　Could frame thy fearful symmetry? 能把你一身惊人的匀称造成？

　　In what distant deeps or skies 在什么样遥远的海底或天边，

　　Burnt the fire of thine eyes? 燃烧起你眼睛中的火焰？

　　On what wings dare he aspire²? 凭借什么样的翅膀他敢于凌空？

　　What the hand dare seize the fire? 什么样的手竟敢携取这个火种？

　　And what shoulder and what art 什么样的技巧，什么样的肩肘

　　Could twist the sinews of thy heart? 竟能拧成你心胸的肌肉？

　　What dread³ hand and what dread feet? 什么样惊人的手、惊人的脚？

　　What the hammer? What the chain? 什么样的铁锤？什么样的铁链？

　　What the anvil⁴? What dread grasp 什么样的铁砧？什么样惊人的握力，

　　Dare its deadly terrors clasp? 竟敢死死地抓住这些可怕的东西？

　　When the stars threw down their spears, And watered heaven with their tears, 当星星射下它们的万道光辉，又在天空上洒遍了点点珠泪，

　　Did He smile His work to see? 看见他的杰作他可曾微笑？

　　Did He who made the lamb make thee? 不就是他造了你一如他曾造过羊羔？
