But first if you're going to be out food shopping in Russia in the coming weeks and months you may start to notice a change. Certain products that are normally commonplace on the shelves of shops and supermarkets could well start disappearing. It's because Russia has announced an almost total ban of food imports from countries subjecting it to economic sanctions over the crisis in Ukraine. Products from the European Union, the US, Australia, Canada and Norway are all for the chop.
