During an Arizona summer air conditioner repairmen are in high demand. Maricopa County health officials say that most heat-related deaths are due to people with non-functioning air conditioners. As temperatures reached 120 degrees, the Associated Press spent a Monday with repairman Alan Schwandt to see what a day in his life is like.

Schwandt knew his day was bound to be busy and as he toiled¹ away in the heat driving across the county from one repair job to the next, he said, "It's always hot but you have a job and have to do your job no matter what it is."
