Sri Lanka's Government has acknowledged it had prior information of a plan by a little-known Islamist group to attack churches but didn't do enough to step up security. At least 207 people have been killed and more than 450 injured in a series of terror blasts targeting churches and hotels. Police raided a house in Colombo said to be occupied by suspects linked to the attacks. Three officers were killed during the operation.

The bodies of a five-year-old girl and a 35-year-old father have been found off the coast of South Australia's Eyre Peninsula. The pair were swept off rocks into the water of Cape³ Carnot, near Whaler's Way Sanctuary⁴, about 40km south of Port Lincoln yesterday afternoon.
