Two days after twin mass shootings that have shocked America and left at least 30 people dead, US president Donald Trump¹ has spoken out against hatred² and white supremacy³. In a prepared statement, Mr Trump said hate has no place in America, condemned⁴ white supremacists and has called for mental health reforms. Mr Trump also called for the death penalty for those who commit mass murder and more bi-partisan co-operation over gun laws.

An airline employee has been arrested after an industrial machine filled with 200 kilograms of ice was intercepted⁵ by border force officers. 200 clip-seal bags containing 155 million dollars worth of methylamphetamine were discovered in garbage bags concealed⁶ inside the machine. Police made the seizure⁷ after it arrived from the US last month. The 22 year old man was arrested after he boarded a Singapore-bound flight from Melbourne on Sunday.
