Jia Di, deputy of the Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Commission says the government launched an innovation zone last year and is trying to provide an eco-system to let local business have more impetus6 for growth.
The zone has so far attracted more than 24-thouand companies to sign up for the project and they are encouraged to upgrade their equipment and technology through financing and leasing.
"In the second half of this year, we'll focus on setting up a league for leading innovation business players.
