 During 1974，as one of the only 3 women out of 43 lawyers, Hillary was a member of the impeachment¹ inquiry² staff in Washington, D.C., working on the inquiry into the possible impeachment of President Richard Nixon. In August 1974，President Richard Nixon resigned. By then, Rodham was viewed as someone with a bright political future.

After marriage, Hillary kept her maiden⁴ name for another 5 years, not realizing it would bring trouble. However, voters had questioned their marriage's stability. After her husband's defeat for re-election in the 1980 Arkansas gubernatorial election, she changed her surname to Clinton.

After her husband's presidency, Hillary was a United States Senator for New York from 2001 to 2009. In the 2008 election, she was a leading candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination⁷.

Hillary has been presented countless⁸ awards and honors. However, although a public figure, basically she is a woman as well as a mother. As was stated in an issue of American News, there were surely things we don't know about Hillary. In Oct, 2005, she was enshrined in the National Women's Hall of Fame, along with 9 other inductees.
