 The Federal government will appoint a national terrorism coordinator¹ as part of new measures to beef up national security.Prime minister Tony Abbott will detail the plan during a speech today.The measure will include a new anti-extremism strategy and changes to Australia's system of terror threat warnings.

 

We shouldn't try to control everyone,but never than less,we do need to be taking all reasonable measures to keep our community safe.

 

The army has begun arriving in central Queensland to help with the clean-up in the aftermath of cyclone² Marcia.The soldiers will be joined by extra SES crews in Rockhampton and Yeppoon where 1,500 have been damaged or destroyed.
