Police in the UK have confirmed the suspicious package that caused the evacuation of Manchester's old Trafford stadium overnight was actually a training device left by a private company.

Tens-of-thousands of fans were ordered from the stadium about 20-minutes before the scheduled kick-off.

Manchester's game with Bournemouth Bawn-Muhth has been rescheduled for Tuesday.

The former prime minister Tony Abbott has described his former chief of staff, Peta Credlin as "riveting¹" after she criticised the government's campaign.

Last week, during a discussion on sky news, Ms Credlin described Malcolm Turnbull as "Mr Harbourside mansion²."

Mr Abbott says Ms Credlin is entitled to her opinions as a commentator³.
