Residents of a high-rise in Sydney’s inner-south have been evacuated¹ as a precaution after cracks were discovered in the building. Dozens of people were told to leave the 10-storey block in Mascot² around 6pm. Engineers are still assessing the integrity of the structure.

A crime scene has been declared and investigators⁴ will return later today.
