A 95-year-old patient from a Sydney nursing home has become the second person in Australia to die from the coronavirus, as the number of confirmed infections jumped overnight. The elderly woman was a resident of an aged¹ care home at Macquarie Park in Sydney's north, where another 82 year old man and an aged care worker in her 50s have also tested positive. Another five cases of coronavirus have been confirmed across Sydney overnight, bringing the total number in New South Wales to 22, the Northern Territory has also recorded its first case.

The ABC has learnt international freight company DHL has now referred the matter to Australian federal police. The Foreign Affairs Department says it will continue to work with DHL to ensure appropriate contract oversight⁵ and strong internal controls are firmly in place.
