　　You should see what kind of relationship you have with your boss and what kind of company it is: 具体怎么请假还是要看你和老板的关系、你们公司是怎么样的

　　Some companies are more uptight¹. You've got be more formal when you request time off. 有些公司比较紧，请假的流程很正式

　　May I have/take a few extra days off?

　　重点词是extra, 多请几天假

　　Reassure² your boss that your work won't be affected³. 当然也要向老板保证，工作不会受影响

　　Holiday, vacation, break有什么不同？

　　这三个词都是假期、休假的意思，但含义、用法却有些不同：

　　Holiday: 可以是一天的假期，也可以是一段时间的假期。另外，英国人更常说go on a holiday

　　Vacation: 假期，美国人更常用go on a vacation; 通常指一段时间, 比较长的假期

　　Break: 通常指较短的假期、或者休息一会儿，比如：take a 10-minute break

　　休息十分钟

　　十一长假，最常用的说法是：

　　The October holiday

　　The October break

　　A one-week vacation

　　祖国母亲的生日

　　Public holiday 公众假期

　　It's a one-week-long holiday. 一周长假

　　The Golden Week: 黄金周，但这并不是英语里的常用词

　　#1.十一旅游人多、又贵，不如staycation！

　　Staycation: stay+cation

　　It means to stay in where you usually live, but still have a vacation: 不离开自己常居的城市度假

　　A lot of people fall under this category: 很多人都是这个类型

　　If you are traveling during National Holiday, you're also traveling with hundreds of millions of people. 如果你在国庆假期出游，那有上亿人民和你一起出游

　　It's also very expensive: 而且也很贵

　　Yeah, that's the biggest turn-off for me: 对，这是我最抗拒的因素

　　I'm on staycation: 我不出去，就地度假

　　十一长假 说走就走的英语旅行!

　　＃2.如果你要去旅行，这些词学起来！

　　1.Outbound travel 出国游

　　不过这个说法太正式，口语里大家这样说：

　　I'm going abroad

　　I'm traveling abroad

　　I'm going to/I'm traveling to (the name of the country)

　　2.Domestic⁴ travel 国内游

　　也是正式说法，口语说法如下：

　　I'm traveling within China

　　I'm traveling inside China

　　I'm going to/I'm traveling to (the name of the place)

　　#3.Backpacking 背包客

　　Backpacking/to go backpacking: 背包客旅行

　　A backpacker is someone who goes backpacking: 背包客就是去背包旅行的人

　　I've never gone backpacking for a super long period of time: 我从没长时间的背包旅行

　　I've met people who've done it for months at a time: 但有人一次出去好久

　　They're hardcore: 他们很厉害

　　Suitcase/luggage: 箱子

　　#4.Romantic getaway 浪漫假期

　　Getaway: 假期、旅行，有种说走就走的感觉

　　Cruise⁸: 邮轮

1 uptight   

adj.焦虑不安的，紧张的

参考例句：

• He's feeling a bit uptight about his exam tomorrow.他因明天的考试而感到有点紧张。

2 reassure   

v.使放心，使消除疑虑

参考例句：

3 affected   

adj.不自然的，假装的

4 domestic   

adj.家里的，国内的，本国的；n.家仆，佣人

参考例句：

• This is domestic news.这是国内新闻。
• She does the domestic affairs every day.她每天都忙家务。

5 hustle   

v.推搡；竭力兜售或获取；催促；n.奔忙(碌)

参考例句：

• It seems that he enjoys the hustle and bustle of life in the big city.看起来他似乎很喜欢大城市的热闹繁忙的生活。
• I had to hustle through the crowded street.我不得不挤过拥挤的街道。

6 bustle   

v.喧扰地忙乱，匆忙，奔忙；n.忙碌；喧闹

参考例句：

• The bustle and din gradually faded to silence as night advanced.随着夜越来越深，喧闹声逐渐沉寂。
• There is a lot of hustle and bustle in the railway station.火车站里非常拥挤。

7 beverage   

n.(水，酒等之外的)饮料

参考例句：

8 cruise   

v.巡航，航游，缓慢巡行；n.海上航游

参考例句：
