And some of those wounded survivors2 have surprisingly found that their marriage prospects3 have been enhanced, even though some have had to have double amputations.
Justin Morhatzey has just returned from Libya where he's been making a documentary for the BBC's Crossing Continents programme. He told Julian Marshall about one young man, double amputee, Alibardi, who was injured during the fighting in Misurata.
