 A push to hold a parliamentary inquiry¹ into the iron ore industry has divided federal Cabinet. The trade and the industry minister were worried any inquiry will send the wrong message to our trading partners.The potential spilt comes as the government get a post budget bounce in a pause.The PM said that he doesn't want any inquiry to turn into a witch hut. If we are going to have a parliamentary inquiry, it gotta be one that is well chaired, with right terms and references. As i said the last thing that anybody shouldn't want to do is to take sides as business disputes.

Two young boys who went missing in Townsville Bushland in north Queensland are home safe and well with their families this morning. Five year old Timmy Carther and his six year old friend Nicolas Baxter wondered way from their Townsville homes on Saturday. The boys were found late yesterday and were treated in hospital for minor⁴ cuts and bruises⁵ before being allowed to go home.

 

Pope Francis has canonise two 19-century Palestinian nuns⁶ at a ceremony at Vatican. The canonization was attended by Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas, who the pope just described as an angel of peace. It comes a day after Vatican was recognised as a Palestinian state.
