苏珊：那你没看标题吗？"谋杀被捕" 这几个字没把你吓住吗？

贝斯：我承认这标题让我犹豫了一阵子，但后来我们开始通信，我发现他其实是一个非常优秀的男人。

Beth: When I was 8, daddy left mama, and we were pretty much alone. Most of my friends were either stuffed¹ or plastic. Of course, there were always mama's boyfriends, But as soon as I'd learn their names, Mama would kick them out, and there be a new toothbrush in the bathroom. Uh, l-let me know if I'm sharing too much.

Susan: No. Not at all. Keep pouring the chardonnay. She's cracking like an egg.

Renee: Okay, quarter ante.

Gaby: So, beth, how did you and Paul meet anyway?

Beth: Oh, I don't wanna bore you.

Renee: Bree, let's forget about hittin' the clubs tomorrow night. Clearly, all the best guys are on death row.

Beth: But, hey, you can't help who you fall in love with, right? And paul's a real lady-killer. We--we always fogged up the plexiglas with that one.

Bree: Well, it's good that you can laugh about it.

Beth: The thing is, in my heart, I always knew he was innocent⁴, and I was right. Well, he is.

Lynette: Yeah, so let's play cards.

贝斯：但是你爱上一个人，是控制不住的，对吧？而且保罗真的很有女人缘[双关 也可理解为"杀手"]。我们总是隔着有机玻璃，说起这个笑话，你们可以拿这个来开玩笑是好事。重要的是，在我心里，我一直清楚他是无辜的，事实证明我是对的。他确实是。

1 stuffed
