The US president has confirmed the leader of the Islamic State, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, has been killed in a raid by American special forces in north-western Syria. Donald Trump¹ says the IS leader was chased into a dead-end tunnel where he blew himself up, killing² three children. The 48-year-old oversaw³ the terrorist group that was responsible for gruesome attacks in the Middle East and around the globe. Mr Trump says al-Baghdadi died like a coward.
