　　Tyrion felt sorry for the boy. He had chosen a hard life.  提利昂为那孩子难过，他选择的是一条艰难的道路

　　or perhaps he should say that a hard life had been chosen for him. 或者应该说，别人为他选择了这条艰难的道路。

　　He had rather less sympathy for the uncle.  他对孩子的叔叔可没这般好感。
