The federal speaker Tony Smith has promised a full investigation¹ into a protest that prompted him to suspend question time. About 30 people stood up in the public gallery shortly after question time began and chanted anti-offshore processing slogans. Mr Smith suspended proceedings² as police and security guards removed the protesters including some who'd glued their hands to the railings.
