Australian health experts have warned it's a matter of when, not if a global pandemic is declared over the coronavirus outbreak. New cases have now been confirmed in Spain, Croatia, Austria and Swizerland. The disease is also spreading rapidly in Italy, with more than 300 people now infected. 15 people have died from the disease in Iran, where the country's deputy health minister has also tested positive for the virus.

Disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein has been admitted to hospital just hours after he was convicted of rape² and sexual assault. His lawyer says he was feeling chest pain, suffering heart palpitations and had high blood pressure. Weinstein faces up to 25 years behind bars and is due to be sentenced in two weeks.

Egypt's former president Hosni Mubarak, who ruled the country for three decades, has died at the age of 91. Mr Mubarak was ousted³ in a mass uprising during the Arab Spring in 2011. He was sentenced to life in prison for his complicity in the killing⁴ of hundreds of protestors but the conviction was later overturned.
