【情景再现】

Catherine和同事就产品的顾客定位意见不一，Catherine认为应该以小企业为目标，同事则认为各大上市公司才是产品的支撑。最后两人将各自的理由说给老板听，老板听后沉思片刻，然后对那位同事说：You don't have a leg to stand on.

have not a leg to stand on这个俚语不难理解，字面为“没有站立的脚”，其实也就是“站不住脚”，表示（人）理屈词穷，（论点等）站不住脚，缺乏事实根据“。所以当你遇到某人的提议不值一驳时既可以对他说：You don't have a let to stand on.
